In view of the latest situation of COVID-19, the Hong Kong Museum of History, Dr. Sun Yat-sen Museum, Lei Cheng Uk Han Tomb Museum, Law Uk Folk Museum and Fireboat Alexander Grantham Exhibition Gallery are temporarily closed and all public programmes are suspended.
Besides, you are most welcome to browse or participate in our virtual tour ("Be My Guest - Law Uk Virtual Tour").
Law Uk Folk Museum is only a 5 minutes' walk from the Chai Wan MTR Station. The house museum, Law Uk ("Law's House"), is named after its original owner, a Hakka family whose Chinese surname is transliterated as "Law". Today, this 18th-century Hakka village house - the only example of its kind in Chai Wan - is a declared historical building.
Currently, barrier-free facilities and services provided at Law Uk Folk Museum are:
* Barrier-free access at the main entrance
* Tactile guide path and Braille map at the main entrance
* A barrier-free ramp surrounding the Hakka House
You are welcome to contact Mr Joseph Chow, the Assistant Curator I (Ethnography) of the Law Uk Folk Museum at 2724 9021 during office hours (8:45am to 1pm & 2pm to 5:33pm on Mon to Fri) or call the Duty Officer at 2896 7006 during non-office hours.
