Children of the Gods Dress and Symbolism in China

To introduce the various facets of children's life in traditional Chinese community. This exhibition will feature more than 100 items of vividly coloured and richly embroidered children's wear including children's clothes, headgear, footwear, jewellery and baby carriers etc. The items are mostly worn and used locally and in China from the second–half of the 19th century to the 1960s. The children's costumes are all on loan from Mrs. Valery Garrett's collection.
