Special Programmes for '50th Anniversary of Hong Kong Museum of History'

Vivid in Sight, Imprinted in Steps —Tracing 50 Years at the Hong Kong Museum of History

Since its establishment in 1975, the Hong Kong Museum of History (HKMH) has reached a remarkable milestone—half a century of preserving and sharing history. Over the past 50 years, we have remained dedicated to collecting, preserving, researching, interpreting, and exhibiting collections related to the history of Hong Kong and South China. At the same time, we have inspired our audiences to explore the histories of China and the wider world, leaving a lasting impression on visitors from all walks of life.

To celebrate the HKMH’s 50th Anniversary, we are launching a stamp-collecting campaign ‘Vivid in Sight, Imprinted in Steps’, offering audiences a unique and engaging museum experience. The campaign features six stamp stations located throughout the museum. By following the stamp collection trail, you can explore the museum, revisit the key moments from our 50-year history, and discover the incredible breadth and diversity of our collections.
