The Future Curator Training Course is designed for secondary students who have interest in history studies and museum. The aim of the training is to enhance students' knowledge of the functions, roles and management of a museum and to give them a greater insight into the job of the museum curator through a series of thematic talks and visits and a final project.

This short summer course is co-organized with the Hong Kong Academy of Gifted Education. The application is organized for the student members of the Academy. Interested students may check with the website of the Academy for details of the course and its application.

The assistant curator of the Hong Kong Museum of History (HKMH) shared his experience of museum work.

Visit to the ‘Multifaceted Hong Kong’ Exhibition Series at HKMH imparted to the trainees a multitude of curatorial approaches.

Visit to ‘Tai Kwun’ exposed the trainees to the historical context to learn about the city’s development and the initiatives in built heritage revitalization.

Appreciating the delicate artefacts in the ‘Treasures of the Mughal Court from the Victoria and Albert Museum’ exhibition at the Hong Kong Palace Museum.
