The 15th Inter-school Competition of Project Learning on Hong Kong's History and Culture

Theme
The Stories of Craftsmen in Hong Kong
Many industries in Hong Kong are rich in cultural heritage and are closely related to the social development. Some traditional craftsmanship in these industries have even been included in Hong Kong's intangible cultural heritage inventory, for example, umbrella making technique and wedding costume. Some industries continue to thrive in various districts, for example the “Dried Seafood Street” in Sai Ying Pun, while others have undergone transformation or decline. Participating students can choose the industries with cultural or community characteristics, meet the craftsmen and conduct documentary research to understand the relationship between the rise and fall of the industries and social development.
