1/F Lobby, Hong Kong Museum of History
Mr. Kong Kai-ming is a local artist, art instructor and art critic. Ever since 1954, Mr Kong has been exploring every corner of Hong Kong to make sketches. Over the years, he has built up a rich repertoire of sketches documenting the physical and social topography of Hong Kong. Mr Kong's sketches combine realistic portrayal of everyday life with rich emotions. With skillful application of angles and lines, his works capture how people from all walks of life fuse harmoniously in the complexity of the cityscape.
This exhibition features Mr Kong's some forty masterpieces from which we could get a glimpse of the ever-changing cityscape of Hong Kong from the 1970s to the 1990s.
