Historical Memorabilia on "A Distinguished Civil Service" Exhibition

4/1/2006 – 20/3/2006

1/F Lobby, Hong Kong Museum of History

Jointly presented by the Civil Service Bureau and Radio Television Hong Kong, a RTHK production entitled "A Distinguished Civil Service" will be broadcast from 7 January 2006. The ten episodes of the documentary attempt to cover the actual work of the civil servants, as well as the role of the different departments in serving the Hong Kong community. In order to share with the public the sidelights behind the scenes, RTHK has collected some historical memorabilia from the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Fire Services Department, the Electrical and Mechanical Services Department, the Immigration Department, the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department, the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, the Hong Kong Police Force, the Hong Kong Post and the Government Flying Service, etc. Bearing testimony to the growth of Hong Kong, these interesting exhibits allow the visitors to look over the various chapters of "Hong Kong Story". A video setting will also be mounted for the visitors to review each episode of the documentary.
