'The Hong Kong Jockey Club Series: Prosperity and Magnificence - Civilisation of the Sui and Tang Dynasties in Shaanxi Province' Interactive Zone highlights the equestrian arts, lifestyle and fashion, music and dance, as well as poetry and painting among the essence of Tang culture. By integrating the cultural essence with spatial experiences, the zone invites visitors to immerse themselves in the grandeur of the Tang dynasty.

Through interactive displays, visitors can become strong riders of the sturdy horses, and travel back to Chang’an through the virtual reality of ‘Beyond the Mural: Echoes of the Tang Dynasty’ to join an exciting polo match and explore the imperial city. Alongside the Tang fashion and gilded crafts in showcases are the animated Tang recipes. Visitors may also step onto the ‘Flourishing Era of Music and Dance’ immersive interactive stage to dance to the Tang music. While learning about Hong Kong in the Tang dynasty, visitors can take home the Education Pamphlet stamped with Tang makeup designs and motifs from poetry and paintings.

Following the conclusion of the artefacts exhibition on 24 August, the Interactive Zone will be renovated for reopening from 2 September onwards until 30 November.

The museum also offers a series of workshops, enabling visitors to delve into Sui-Tang tea culture, the art of Tang sancai-glazed pottery, calligraphy and pastry-making. For details, please see our Public Programmes.
